A few kilometres drive from Knysna Buffalo Bay Beach, or Buffelsbaai, is a Blue Flag beach situated in the Goukamma Nature Reserve. With a 14km stretch of sand this expansive beach is characterised by dune fields, coastal fynbos, and a forest that flanks the long white sands. The beach is popular for swimming, surfing, sun-tanning, snorkelling, fishing, canoeing, and various other water activities. Here you can picnic among some of the highest vegetated sand dunes in the world and explore the rock pools. There are ablution facilities, ample parking, as well as a variety of restaurants and shops along the beach road. Life guards are on duty in season.
