Set on the warm Indian Ocean, the beach is largely unspoilt and you can spend your time collecting Pansy shells, sun tanning, or taking a leisurely stroll to appreciate the true beauty of the area. Interpretive boards inform beachgoers of the unique features of the rural beach and surrounds for those who are interested. Lappiesbaai is a firm favourite during the winter months when whales can be spotted from the beach. Being a Blue Flag beach, facilities include a restaurant, ablutions, and wheelchair facilities.
